I hope it helps. I've a chronic condition (that is made up of dozens of tiny, unexplainable problems that don't go together but somehow they do and form a disease that just messes with your brain and body for fun) and I relate a LOT to the exhaustion. I was very burned out with my job (I miss being a librarian/researcher) and I work customer service on the phone. I took I think 6 days off in 12 months and I broke.
Thankfully(???) I required microsurgery in my back. It went well and I will name my first born animal child after my surgeon. I had to take 12 weeks off. I tried to come back at 8 weeks but I hadn't built up the strength to sit for hours....and I didn't want to go back. I'd rather a meteor fall on my head.
It's been very hard to acclimitise myself to an environment where you are treated as an inept associate intentionally preventing the client from solving their [stupid] problem. I took 12 weeks off. I forgot how downtrodden that feels. I forgot what it was like to just feel.....exhausted in that kind of way. It's hard to realise you forgot what it felt like to be stepped on 50hr/weekly and have to remember.
Take as much time off as you can. I know things can pile up and hopefully it doesn't get too high and prevent you from some restorative rest. Outside! No technology! Climb a tree (I've never done this, do adults climb trees??)!!
Take care of yourself Anita. We’ll all still be here when you’re well x
Rest well! Will be here when you’re ready 😊
Hope you feel well rested and better soon. 🫶🏻
Very sorry to hear your news. Very wise to listen to your body. Hope you feel restored and more yourself soon
💞
Take care ❤️
