Now there are so many options I don’t know which to choose 🤣😅 but thank you, thank you, thank you for writing such a helpful and comprehensive guide. Love this so much. 🫶🏻🤩
I’ve never found a favourite foundation and since I’m a work from home hermit I only wear it occasionally so something general really that just looks flawless. Your skin in the photo (and let’s get real, any time you do makeup on Instagram) just looks unreal and I have found things settle into fine lines and then some bits flake off and it all just generally looks meh (I definitely need to heed your skin prep advice first eek 😬). I have used brushes but mostly fingers. 🙈
I like the idea of skincare in the foundation that you talk about. I’ve tried the Hourglass stick before and quite liked that and random liquid foundations but I like the idea of it in a compact too!

As an MUA & foundation addict that was an excellent article, I shared it with my friends. You cover everything& every angle so well done.
Ah thanks Dee! I wanted to cover as much as I could so glad it was helpful! What are your faves? xx
Thank you so much for putting this together - such a GREAT and comprehensive guide!!
Also I’d like to give a shout out to Bobbi Brown Foundation which for many years was so desi/brown skin friendly when so many brands weren’t.
And at the cheaper end EX1 available at Superdrug is another desi/brown skin friendly brand & desi owned
yes Ex1 is ace! Although they're a bit too golden for me. And Bobbi Brown foundations are ace totally agree!
Thank you for this informative guide - finally by someone who clearly knows her stuff 🙋🏼♀️
Wow, the thought and detail in this is amazing! Thank you, lots there to consider (and a good reminder to wash my brushes today 🙈).
Not in the article, but Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin is my new found favourite.
I am curious to know if you have tried any Jones Road Beauty products, like What the Foundation, or the Miracle Balms. They are my new faves. 😁😁
