I'm not really leaving anything behind, I think (although maybe the bikini thing...) but I did stop dying my hair about 5 years ago because I hated dying it and I was fed up of doing it. I found actively seeking out grey hair inspiration on social media was really helpful, as prior to that I'd seen no real age appropriate, positive grey hair images. Seeing others regularly and in a positive light, really helped - both through the process of growing it out and beyond. So I definitely recommend following hashtags and accounts that change up your feed and make it more diverse and more representative of what you WANT to see.
Thats awesome! I did the same when I originally wanted to embrace my body much more about a decade ago, and it made SUCH a difference. So I'm definitely going to do it for this particular hurdle.
I'd be interested to know who inspired your hair journey too! xx
Oh gosh, I can’t remember! I initially followed hashtags like #grombre and #silversisters, and probably picked a few accounts I liked the look of, but I’ve kind of stopped, as I’m comfortable with the colour now and don’t feel like I need the moral support.
Interestingly, I was thinking about my comment and realised I do still have something to leave behind. My hair is frizzy, and while I like the colour, I hate that. Shiny hair is all we ever see as a beauty norm. I’ve tried pretty much everything to stop the frizz, but nothing works, so I should stop wasting time and money and just embrace it. Need to find myself some frizzy influencers!
You put your desires in a notes app, my Etsy cart currently has 88 pairs of Anne Klein earrings under $30 in it. Chacun a son gout! And you do look great in that outfit. Who's looking at anything but your face and those AMAZING eyebrows!
I'm 75 and completely invisible--you should see what I get up to!
On first glance of your *testing* picture, I thought you were a flight attendant. I worked for an airline company for a while and our spring uniforms were similar to your black trousers with the tucked in black shirt, only mine was navy trousers with a white shirt tucked in, even the belt is similar, too!
The black jeans/shirt combo is an awesome lock and you are rocking it!
Ah thank you! I'm working up to wearing it outside of my flat slowly... haha x
The outfit is great and the neck scarf is chic AF. Go outside like this!!!
Ah thank you! That is my aim, but i'm trying to work up to it slowly...
You look great in that outfit!
