When I started listening to ‘Ugly’ I think I squeaked when you said you majored in Philosophy, wrote a thesis about beauty in art, and mentioned the Dementors. And that’s not even the core of the book, that’s just you! I have never related so much to an intro. My education background is the same, I've even studied in Durham so I got my fair share of Geordie approach to beauty in my 20s when I tried to fit in as a goth.
